We booked this hotel following the plethora of good reviews. I confess I was a bit skeptical as they seemed too good to be true, but our experience was wonderful. We stayed on the “Sweet Dreams” room on the roof. It is a modern room with a huge terrace which worked a wonder for a family of four. View of sea is ace. Beds are comfortable and room is quiet, so we enjoyed good sleeps. Breakfast and Lunch were both good – enough selection of food and a dish of the day option at lunch. The hotel is family run and Lisa & Gianni have been extremely gentle, corteous and attentive to our needs. The beach is a minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants and ice cream parlours nearby the hotel for the evening. Highly recommended

The owners and staff are the best staff I have ever encountered during any holiday I have been on. They work tirelessly to ensure you are having a great time and make you feel so welcome 24/7.
Hotel is spotlessly clean, bright, modern and vibrant throughout. Dining room is funky with a great atmosphere.
Food is amazing. Breakfast and brunch is definitely the way forward giving you flexibility in the evenings. We tried loads of local restaurants for dinner which were all reasonably priced serving delicious fresh dishes and wines.
The hotel is in a great location to reach restaurants and bars not to mention being 2 steps from the beach. Everything as on your doorstep.
Rooms were tastefully decorated with private balconies and super air conditioning.
We had the best time and cannot wait to return next summer.

The hotel have changed their offering slightly this year from full board to breakfast and brunch. I would go as far as to say it is more like what you would expect on a half board basis. Breakfast was delicious with a vast selection of homemade cakes, croissants, pastries as well as delicious eggs and bacon.
The brunch really surprised us. We expected an extension of breakfast served until later whereas in fact freshly made pastas, risottos were offered as well as multiple antipasti dishes were on offer followed by a main course of meat, fish or veggie dish along with a vast fresh salad bar then delicious Italian gelato for dessert.
The management team and all the staff within the hotel were so warm and welcoming.
We used the bikes everyday which are offered free of charge or you can hire electric bikes for a small fee which are great for those wanting to explore the Adriatic Coast without breaking a sweat!
We found the flexibility of the new formula perfect for us because it meant that we weren’t regimented to evening meal times. Instead we stayed on the beach later and enjoyed the evening sun without rushing to get ready. We found so many amazing restaurants nearby which are all in walking distance, many offering a hotel discount which was well received.
The pirates room kids club looked so much fun for the kids too giving parents the opportunity to have some peace and quiet as the staff entertained the kids during meal times.
We cannot wait to come back next year to do it all over again!

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Gambrinus Mare, and it was absolutely perfect! The hotel is in a fantastic position, close to the beach and restaurants/shops. It is beautifully decorated throughout with a light, open dining room and bar area. The breakfast & brunch option was perfect for us, as it allowed us to experience new restaurants in Cattolica. The food at the hotel was excellent every day, with hot & cold breakfast options including fresh pastries, at at lunch a buffet including a meat, fish and a vegetarian dish, and a fresh salad bar. There was also a daily special, including things like lasagne which was always delicious! The hotel also does special evenings with more delicious food, wine and music to celebrate the Romagna region. Our bedroom was very clean, with comfortable beds, a large shower and a balcony with a view of the sea. The mini fridge & AC in the hotel was also a huge advantage. Lisa & Gianni were brilliant hosts, offering suggestions for where to go for meals out & also just checking in to ensure we were having a nice holiday. Tony, Chiara, Fabio, Christina & all the other staff were very friendly and helpful. We already cannot wait to return to the Gambrinus Mare on our next trip to Cattolica ☺️ thank you for a wonderful holiday!
